My Video Library

Welcome to my video library. Some of my favorite videos are here, easy for me to view without having to go to the YouTube indexes, and try to find a video that I wanted to save for later. Here they are in one easy space. Enjoy!

Where were you...9/11

"Here's to The Heroes" is a great tribute to our military services. I enjoy the song (great voices) and the pictures are inspiring. Makes me miss my time on active duty.
The next video, "Il Silenzio", is the Italian style of "Taps" played by Nini Rosso. The pictures are from Vietnam. This video was sent to me by my friend Larry who served with me in the Marine Corps in Vietnam (1965, 1st Battalion 4th Marines). It's beautiful!
The third video is fantastic! It's street singers singing "Stand By Me" from around the world. Very well done and really talented singers. I love listening to this one!
The fourth video is interesting to me because it happend the year I was born, 1944. An entire crew of a B-29 (12 aviators) was rescued by a US submarine after their plane was shot down in 1944/5 70 miles off the coast of Japan.  The entire rescue was filmed in color video but then sat in a guy's closet until now.  This is a story from a Denver TV station of one of those rescued aviators to whom the video was delivered. It also shows their transfer to another submarine that is likely headed back to port before the one that accomplished the rescue.
Nightly News did a segment on House Churches. Interesting perspective and one that I share. The traditional church (building) has its place, but there is much learning and interaction available in a house church including accountability which is really needed in the Christian community today.
More videos have been added. The titles are listed (maybe some comments), please scroll down. Enjoy!

Mark Pando (very inspiring and emotional for me)

Mark Pando is a close friend of mine, in fact he's like the brother I never had. We served together on the USS Trenton, he the ship's admin officer and me the ship's chaplain. We have stayed in touch over the past 27 years since our days on the ship. Mark sent me this video that his cousin made honoring Mark and his dad, who served during WWII. I've included the comments from Mark's cousin below:

"It's amazes me how little we know about people and don't find out until much later in our life. I was 7 years old when my Uncle Mike Pando died. I remember the day that I was on an Air Force Base for the first time. It was 1959. I was meeting my Aunt Ursula and my cousin Mark Pando who was only 2 years old for the first time. I was also meeting my Uncle for the first time but he was in a coffin draped with an American Flag. I only saw my cousin Mark, once, for a brief time in 1976. Even now at age 59....I knew very little about my Uncle...only that he had been in the Army. Because of the internet.....specifically other videos I have on Youtube, my cousin Mark found me and has filled me me in on much lost information. I do know that I had these movies that my father Samuel Pando had taken of his brother in 1941. So today I have made this video to 'Honor' my Uncle Mike Pando AND his son Mark Pando for their service to the United States of America. I am a Free man because of their 'service' and of the 'service' of those like them."
