My Video Library
Welcome to my video library. Some of my favorite videos are here, easy for me to view without having to go to the YouTube indexes, and try to find a video that I wanted to save for later. Here they are in one easy space. Enjoy!
Where were you...9/11
The fourth video is interesting to me because it happend the year I was born, 1944. An entire crew of a B-29 (12 aviators) was rescued by a US submarine after their plane was shot down in 1944/5 70 miles off the coast of Japan. The entire rescue was filmed in color video but then sat in a guy's closet until now. This is a story from a Denver TV station of one of those rescued aviators to whom the video was delivered. It also shows their transfer to another submarine that is likely headed back to port before the one that accomplished the rescue.
More videos have been added. The titles are listed (maybe some comments), please scroll down. Enjoy!
How Great Thou Art, Carrie Underwood with Vince Gill
Bring Me Sunshine, The Jive Aces
North Platte Canteen, WWII vintage, great story and pictures, makes you feel good and proud of our country and these wonderful women.
Hallelujah Chorus, Flash Mob at the Food Court
World's Greatest Air Show
Rolling in the Deep, Air Force Singer (really good!)
One Pair of Hands, Carroll Roberson (sounds like Elvis)
Mark Pando (very inspiring and emotional for me)
Mark Pando is a close friend of mine, in fact he's like the brother I never had. We served together on the USS Trenton, he the ship's admin officer and me the ship's chaplain. We have stayed in touch over the past 27 years since our days on the ship. Mark sent me this video that his cousin made honoring Mark and his dad, who served during WWII. I've included the comments from Mark's cousin below:
"It's amazes me how little we know about people and don't find out until much later in our life. I was 7 years old when my Uncle Mike Pando died. I remember the day that I was on an Air Force Base for the first time. It was 1959. I was meeting my Aunt Ursula and my cousin Mark Pando who was only 2 years old for the first time. I was also meeting my Uncle for the first time but he was in a coffin draped with an American Flag. I only saw my cousin Mark, once, for a brief time in 1976. Even now at age 59....I knew very little about my Uncle...only that he had been in the Army. Because of the internet.....specifically other videos I have on Youtube, my cousin Mark found me and has filled me me in on much lost information. I do know that I had these movies that my father Samuel Pando had taken of his brother in 1941. So today I have made this video to 'Honor' my Uncle Mike Pando AND his son Mark Pando for their service to the United States of America. I am a Free man because of their 'service' and of the 'service' of those like them."
Finally Home, written and song by Peter Lewis Whitebird a personal frined for 9 years. Pete is a gifted Country Gospel Singer!
Mars Landing, My friend, Chuck Martin, sent me this video of the NASA landing on Mars of the Mars Robot. Really cool video!
Atheist Song-First hymn for Atheists, Steve Martin (really funny!)
